DB-backed public reads

Public pages and API requests read BMC database/cache data. User-facing requests do not call exchanges live.

Tracked volume

BMC 24h Volume is normally the sum of fresh active BMC-supported source volume. When every qualifying source for a coin or exchange is stale, its detail page can retain the last known value with a visible stale warning. Stale values remain excluded from the global tracked volume and freshness-based ranking.

Price aggregation

When source volume is available, BMC uses global_vwap_v1. If volume is unavailable, BMC can fall back to a median USD-compatible price with an explicit warning.

Freshness and warnings

Stale, missing, manual, and source-error states are shown directly instead of being hidden as fake precision.
